The Client: The client is building AI agents that automate semiconductor design flows.

Location: Mountain View, CA
Onsite: 5 days/week
Salary Range: $140k-$220k

We're seeking a Founding Software Engineer with significant experience in the VLSI front-end design flow and strong coding skills to build the copilot for chip designers. You should be comfortable writing and shipping high-quality code (Python/C++) every day, making architectural decisions, and translating user feedback into product updates. Bonus points if you have 1+ tapeouts, contributed to open-source EDA/chip efforts, or have significant experience with PPA optimization and/or functional correctness convergence.

  • Write code (Python/C++) that ships to Client’s 10+ chip/IP customers

  • Make software architectural decisions for key product features

  • Translate user feedback into product updates/features

  • Plan core product roadmap and strategy with the founders

Qualifications:

  • 1 -​ 5 years of experience 1-​5 years of experience with front-​end VLSI/chip design or building software to design chips.​

  • Experience with chip design or building software for chip design (internship or full-​time work)

  • Experience with building 1+ significant/interesting software projects (beyond just scripting)

  • Experience designing ASICs using SystemVerilog and synthesis/verification tools.​

  • Experience with common front-​end EDA tools.​

  • 1+ tapeouts,​ ideally on advanced technology nodes.​

  • Contributor to open-​source EDA/chip efforts.​

  • Experience at a top startup or tech company

  • Electrical Engineering,​ Computer Engineering,​ or Computer Science (hardware focus) Degree from a Top Engineering University

  • Strong programmer in Python and C++ (actual software projects,​ not just scripting).​

  • Basic knowledge of statistics & AI/ML methods.​

  • Passionate about chips and AI for EDA.​

  • Strong communicator – ​clear and concise

  • Willingness to work 5 days a week on-​site in Mountain View.​
